Step 1 — Submit your application
Complete the AGPEX application form and tell us about:
Your education
Your agricultural experience
Your professional interests
The agricultural sectors you are interested in
Your preferred countries
Your preferred program length
Your language skills
What you would like to learn and experience
You can also upload your CV and other relevant documents.
Step 2 — Application review
We review your application to understand your background, experience and objectives.
We look beyond your academic qualifications.
We want to understand what kind of agricultural experience would be most valuable for you.
Step 3 — AGPEX interview
If your application meets the program requirements, we arrange an online interview.
This is an opportunity for us to get to know you, discuss your goals and answer your questions about the programs, the countries and the application process.
Step 4 — Program matching
Based on your profile, we identify suitable host organizations.
Depending on your background and interests, this could be a large agricultural company, family farm, vineyard, livestock operation, coffee producer, AgTech business, research organization or another agricultural organization.
We consider:
Your interests + your experience + your goals + program requirements
Step 5 — Meet your potential host
When a suitable program is identified, we introduce you to the host organization.
You will have the opportunity to discuss:
The activities and learning opportunities
Accommodation
Program arrangements
Schedule and duration
Financial arrangements
Expectations on both sides
Other practical details
The program is only confirmed when both you and the host organization agree to the proposed arrangement.
Step 6 — Program confirmation
Once you and the host have agreed, the relevant program and host documentation is completed.
At this stage, we also confirm the practical arrangements for your stay.
Step 7 — AGPEX program fee
Once your program has been confirmed, you will be asked to pay the applicable AGPEX program fee:
🎓 Internship Program — €550
🌱 Traineeship Program — €650
💼 Young Professional Program — €750
The program fee covers AGPEX's services, including:
Personalized program matching
Communication and coordination with the host
Program administration
Pre-departure preparation
Immigration and visa process guidance
Practical preparation for your stay
Continuous AGPEX support throughout your program
AGPEX Certificate of Agricultural Professional Experience upon successful completion
The program fee does not include flights, visa or immigration fees, insurance, medical expenses or other personal expenses unless specifically stated.
Once the program fee has been received, we proceed with the final preparation of your international experience.
Step 8 — Travel & departure preparation
Depending on your destination and personal circumstances, you may need a visa, residence permit or other authorization to participate in your program.
AGPEX provides guidance on the relevant process and documentation.
Immigration decisions are made by the relevant authorities and cannot be guaranteed by AGPEX.

Step 9 — Start your AGPEX experience
Once everything is ready, you travel to South America and begin your program.
And that's when the real experience starts.
How long does it take?
International programs require preparation, particularly when immigration procedures are involved.
We recommend starting your application several months before your intended departure.
The exact timeline depends on your destination, program and individual circumstances.
What happens after I arrive?
AGPEX doesn't simply disappear after you arrive.
We remain available throughout your program for questions, practical support and communication between you, AGPEX and your host organization.
